Presence. Flow. Connectivity. Curiosity. Freedom. Can we dance our way there?

Dancers  who practice “contact improvisation” often experience these outcomes, in a movement form that draws as much from meditation and martial arts as it does from modern dance.  We are completing a documentary, “An Intimate Dance,” about contact improvisation, and what it can tell us about what it means to be alive in this body, and to be a part of the human community. How does our culture interfere with our flow and connection, and how can dance restore our natural flow and connectivity?

With over 300 hours of footage filmed for this 90 -120 minute film, we are seeking funds to finish the editing process this summer.
